Henrik Ruben Genz

Henrik Ruben Genz (born 1959 in Gram , Denmark ) is a Danish film director .

Life

After successfully completing his graphic design studies at the Designskolen Kolding, he graduated from Den Danske Filmskole in 1995 with the road movie Omveje . His staged by him short film Theis and Nico was at the Oscar ceremony in 2000 as Best Short Film nomination. He made his feature film debut in 2003 with the children's film Hodder saves the world . His filmography also includes the literary adaptations Frygtelig lykkelig (2008) and Undskyld jeg forstyrrer (2012). He also works regularly on various Danish television series. In 2008 his film Frygtelig Lykkelig won the crystal globe at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival . The following year he won a Bodil and a Robert in the category of Best Danish Film for the same film .
