Henry Gee

Henry Gee (born April 24, 1962 in London , England ) is an English science journalist and author in the fields of paleontology and evolutionary biology .

Life

Gee holds a BS from the University of Leeds and a PhD from Fitzwilliam College , Cambridge . There he played the keyboard for a jazz band in his spare time .

Since 1987 he has worked for the biology department of the British journal Nature and is now senior editor for topics in the field of biology. He is also the author of several popular science books on the history of the evolution of mankind and the animal world. He is also the editor of Mallorn , the official journal of the Tolkien Society .
