Herbert Prügl

Herbert Prügl (born June 5, 1946 in Německý Benešov , Czechoslovakia ; † January 1, 2007 in Trhové Sviny , Czech Republic ) was an Austrian motorcycle racer .

biography

Prügl began his motorsport career on solo motorcycles. He celebrated his greatest success in team racing , where he and Hannes Kussberger took third place at the 1975 Austrian Grand Prix behind the Germans Rolf Steinhausen / Josef Huber and the Swiss Angelo Pantellini / Alfredo Manzzoni. He then tried his hand at speedway briefly before contesting two Formula 3 races in 1988 .

The motor sportsman active for MSC Rottenegg died of a heart attack on New Year's Day. He was buried on January 12, 2007 in the family grave of his grandparents in Benešov nad Černou .
