Hermann Regner
Hermann Regner (born May 12, 1928 in Marktoberdorf , Allgäu ; † December 29, 2008 in Großgmain ) was a German music teacher and composer .
Life
Regner studied conducting and composition at the Leopold Mozart Conservatory in Augsburg , then musicology and folklore at the University of Munich . He received his doctorate as Dr. phil. with a dissertation on changing folk dances in the Swabian Ries . From 1958 to 1964 he worked as a lecturer at the University of Music in Trossingen . From 1964 to 1993 he was Professor of Music Education at the Orff Institute of the Mozarteum Salzburg . Regner was Carl Orff's employee from 1963 to 1982.
Regner made numerous publications on music education and was co-editor of the educational book music and dance for children .
His grandson Tobias Regner is a well-known rock singer.
