The Hilton Dresden , formerly Hotel "Dresdner Hof" is a hotel located inside the old town in Dresden .

The hotel has the effective advertising address at An der Frauenkirche 5 . The historicizing structure occupies the block of houses encompassed by Terrassengasse , Münzgasse , Töpferstrasse and Brühlscher Gasse . It is located on the south side of the Brühlsche Terrasse , between the Ständehaus in the west and the Dresden University of Fine Arts in the east. To the south is Quartier I of the Neumarkt area .
The secondary production facility is connected to the building and houses the hotel's wine restaurant.

The Hilton Hotel Dresden "ties in ... with [the] old Dresden architectural tradition." Some details of the Dresden Hilton Hotel reveal reminiscences of the earlier "culturally and historically significant town houses on Neumarkt". In Münzgasse you can see bay windows, dormer windows and bright plastered facades. The facade on Töpferstrasse has a curved glass roof that spans the main entrance. The central axis of the facade is emphasized by a triangular gable at the height of the attic. There are arched windows on the ground floor and twin windows on the first and second floors.
The building near Neumarkt was built between 1987 and 1989 as the “Dresdner Hof” hotel by the Swedish construction company Armerad Betong Vägförbättringar (ABV) according to plans by Walter Lewin from West Berlin . The hotel was opened on January 26, 1990 as the "Dresdner Hof". The Association of Architects of the GDR also participated in the construction. The building was built as one of the first buildings on Neumarkt in a historicizing way, with the historicizing building of the Nikolaiviertel and the Gendarmenmarkt in East Berlin taking place in parallel .
