Hirayama family

As Hirayama families (after the Japanese astronomers Kiyotsugu Hirayama , of their existence in 1918 discovered) is known in the astronomy groups of asteroids that are on similar orbits around the sun move.

In astronomy (in connection with minor planets ) families are understood to mean concentrations of asteroids in the main belt that have similar orbits, are spatially close to one another and are the result of the decay of larger objects through collisions.
