Hoje (Eng. Today ) is a Portuguese pop project with new interpretations of well-known songs by the fado singer Amália Rodrigues, who died in 1999 .

The project was started by Nuno Gonçalves, who arranges the pieces. The band consists of the singer Sónia Tavares , who is also active with Gonçalves in the band The Gift . Fernando Ribeiro from Moonspell and Paulo Praça (formerly Turbo Junkie and Plaza ) complete the formation.

With their 2009 album " Amália hoje " (German: Amália today), Hoje was number 1 in the Portuguese sales charts for 23 weeks and stayed in the top 30 for a total of 49 weeks. The live album Amália Hoje - Ao Vivo No Coliseu dos Recreios , created with the participation of the Czech Symphony Orchestra, also stayed in the top 30 for 24 weeks, including one week at number 1 in the Portuguese charts.
