Holiday Land is an American animated short film from the year 1934 .

Scrappy is woken up by his mother because he has to go to school. However, he falls asleep again and wishes that every day was a holiday . The Lord of Time, Father Time, appears and takes Scrappy with him to a country where every day is a holiday.
Scrappy encounters the most varied of holiday characters: Santa Claus , the Halloween witch , the Easter bunny , hens laying Easter eggs and groups of pumpkins following a witch. Scrappy is led to a table laden with food for Thanksgiving, with all the other holiday characters partying and singing. Just as Father Time is toasting Scrappy, his mother wakes him up. It was just a dream. Because Scrappy overslept, he has to hurry up to get to school on time.

Holiday Land was nominated for an Oscar in the category " Best Animated Short Film " in 1935 , but could not prevail against The Tortoise and the Hare .
