The Hugo Junkers Prize is a journalist prize in memory of the aviation pioneer Hugo Junkers .

Regulations

The Hugo Junkers Prize has been announced annually by the Luftfahrt-Presse-Club eV (LPC) since 1996 and serves to honor outstanding journalistic work on aerospace. The award is supported by the Hugo Junkers Foundation, the Federal Association of the German Aerospace Industry (BDLI) and the LPC.

Journalists from all media can take part, regardless of whether they are members of the LPC. The authors can apply themselves or be suggested by a member of the LPC.

The prize is endowed with a total of 10,000 euros annually.

The Ministry of Economics, Science and Digitization of the State of Saxony-Anhalt also awards a Hugo Junkers Prize for "pioneering innovations from science, industry and craft".
