Hypericum aegypticum subsp. webbii is a subspecies of the plant Hypericum aegypticum from the genus of hypericum ( Hypericum ).
features
Hypericum aegypticum subsp. webbii is a subshrub that reaches heights of 20 to 40 centimeters. The leaves measure 4 to 10 × 1.5 to 3 millimeters and are broadly elliptical to narrowly elongated, pointed to blunt, sessile or short-stalked, flat or almost hood-shaped and often crowded like roof tiles. The flowers are solitary and (almost) sessile. The crown is permanent and 8 to 14 millimeters in size.
The flowering period extends from January to June.
Occurrence
Hypericum aegypticum subsp. webbii occurs in the central Mediterranean area from Sardinia and Malta to western Greece. The subspecies grows on limestone cliffs and Phrygana near the coast at altitudes of 0 to 100 meters.
