The 1989 IBSF U21 World Snooker Championship was the third edition of the Junior World Snooker Championship . It took place in the Icelandic capital Reykjavík and was organized by the International Billiards & Snooker Federation .

World champion was the Irishman Ken Doherty with an 11: 5 victory in the final against the Englishman Jason Ferguson .
