IEEE 802.3an

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

IEEE 802.3an is an Ethernet standard for 10GBase-T from the IEEE 802 series .

The standard enables transmissions with max. 10 GBit / s via twisted pair cabling over a length of max. 100 m. This speed is only guaranteed under optimal conditions (connector, cable, etc.). The class must be taken into account here (class E A or class F and F A ). In the case of improper installation and processing, the risk of crosstalk (alien crosstalk) is high.
