Ibolya Csák
Ibolya Csák [ ˈibojɒ ˈtʃaːk ] (born January 6, 1915 in Budapest ; † February 9, 2006 there ) was a Hungarian athlete. She became Olympic high jump champion in 1936 .
Csák won the Olympic final at the Olympic Games in Berlin in 1936 with a height of 1.62 m (in the jump-off). This made her the first ever Hungarian athletics Olympic champion.
Two years later she was defeated by the German Dora Ratjen at the European Championships in Vienna with 1.64 m . But after it had turned out that Ratjen was in reality a man, Csák was awarded the European title and the European record.
