In the back of the bus is the seventh solo album by the Berlin rapper Fler . It was released on September 16, 2011 on Flers Label Masculin as a standard, premium, limited deluxe (including instrumental version) and Amazon edition (including t-shirt and cap). The album was distributed with the help of Groove Attack .

title

The title of the album is based on the line of text rapped by Fler “ I heard you want to find me? Come up, I'm sitting in the back of the bus! ". This line is from Do you hear me? , the first song from Fler's career, which appeared on the 2001 I Luv Money sampler .

content

In addition to the battle tracks typical of Fler, there are also profound and personal songs on the album. For example, the songs You are out and you are still not a fan are typical battle tracks. In an interview with editor Nicolas Kesper for hitparade.ch, Fler commented on the content of the album: " Most of the songs for" Im Bus Ganz back "I had lying around for a while anyway. These were all theme tracks that didn't really fit on the previous album, that is, on "Airmax Muzik 2" ”. Fler processes his past in characters and in the title song in the back of the bus . The album also includes the party song Spiegelbild and the sexual intercourse song We make one on it . Fler also commented on the latter in an interview with hitparade.ch: “ It is simply important that a sex song doesn't sound disgusting and trite. "We'll do it" isn't cheap porn. It has style and a good beat, that's why I put it on the album. It's danceable, you could even play it in a club ”. The song Still No Fan of It is a continuation of the song No Fan of It . In addition, According to Own Rules 2, the second part of the 2005 title According to Own Rules can be found on the album. The chorus of the song Teer in mein Lunge is based on a sample of the track Your time comes from Kay One and Fler from 2010.

production

The two producer duos Beatzarre and Djorkaeff as well as Gee Futuristic and X-plosive are responsible for producing the beats for the album .

The reviews of In the back of the bus were average.

At Laut.de the album received 2 out of a possible 5 stars:

"" The street, the street, how do I get my ass out of here? " A question that I ask myself at the latest with "Um Uns Rum". "Im Bus Ganz Hinten" has quite a bit to offer, which is partly consoling over the one-dimensional content and the unimaginative implementation of the clear range of topics. Fler is - thank God! if you exclaimed, you would be just a touch more Catholic - again straying from the wrong path of trying your hand at being a singer. In the worst case, AutoTune-distorted slip-ups, which made "Flersguterjunge" completely unbearable, were completely saved this time. Fler leaves the cry-baby parts to the ubiquitous Moe Mitchell, always a safe bet for hookline lard. "

At Rap.de the album received 7 out of a possible 10 points:

"No," Im Bus right back "is not an album that spreads high hopes or even optimism. Between the youth home and psychiatry, false friends and real traitors, there is hardly any space for feelings such as security or real affection. Women do not play a major role in this world, except as objects of pleasure, as horny but ultimately unimportant and interchangeable sluts ("money over bitches"). The only piece that deals with, well, interpersonal relationships is correspondingly hard. "We're going for it" describes without further ado how the protagonist does it with such a slut, hard, directly, from the front, back and the side, but actually without much enthusiasm. Sex here serves primarily as a means of self-affirmation, the exercise of power and control, and the short-term distraction from stress and worries. Enjoying a shisha ("tar in my lungs") or an evening at the club ("mirror image") are only temporary diversions. "

book

One day before the album was released, Fler's semi-autobiographical book Im Bus right back: A German story , which was written by Julia Kautz and Sascha Wernicke, was published by riva-Verlag, where he a. a. gives a look back at his life "between loneliness, psychiatry and great fame".

Fler commented on the book on hitparade.ch: “ There is a lot of background information on my path, which many rappers have followed: Difficult childhood, the desire to become a rapper, and the rocky road to success. I was finally able to put a lot of things right in the book that the media once put into the world. After reading it, you will understand the artist Fler and the person behind him better. It can also be interesting for the parents of hip-hop fans so that they can better understand the business and understand why their child is interested in it ”.
