Inge Pohmann , née Hartelt (* 1921 or 1922 ; † January 26, 2005 in Berlin ) was a German tennis player .

The qualified sports teacher Pohmann was number one on the German women's tennis rankings for three years. In 1954, she achieved her best position in the world rankings with 28th place.

In addition to three individual titles in 1950, 1951 and 1953 in the German championships, she also won several championships in doubles and mixed . She was a member of the Marienburger Sport Club .

On July 2, 1950, the then Federal President Theodor Heuss was the first woman ever to award her the Silver Laurel Leaf .

She was married to tennis instructor Kurt Pohmann and is the mother of the former Davis Cup player and television sports reporter Hans-Jürgen Pohmann . She died at the age of 83.
