Ingeborg Danz (* 1961 in Witten an der Ruhr) is a German opera , oratorio , lied and concert singer ( alto / mezzo-soprano ).

Life

Ingeborg Danz first studied school music at the Detmold Music Academy . After the state examination she studied singing with Heiner Eckels and passed her concert examination with distinction. Ingeborg Danz won numerous singing competitions during her training. She also received a grant from the German Music Council and the Richard Wagner Association.

Danz sang at various opera stages, including the Hamburg State Opera and the Detmold State Theater . Her artistic focus is on concert and lieder singing, which includes European music literature from the baroque to late romanticism to contemporary music. These include compositions by Antonín Dvořák , Max Reger , Johann Sebastian Bach , Ludwig van Beethoven , Georg Friedrich Händel , Anton Bruckner , Joseph Haydn , César Franck , Carl Loewe , Robert Schumann and others. a. m.
