Iniades ( Greek Οινιάδες ( f. Pl. ), Also Oiniades ) is a municipality in the municipality of Mesolongi in the southeast of the western Greek regional region of Aetolia-Acarnania . In 2011 it had a population of 9,373.

In the area is the archaeological site of the ancient Oiniadai ( Greek Οἰνιάδαι ), where the name comes from.

Administrative division

As part of the 1997 regional reform , the municipality of Iniades was founded from the merger of six rural municipalities, with Neochori as the administrative seat. On the occasion of the 2010 administrative reform , Iniades was merged with Etoliko and the municipality of Mesolongi . The municipality of Iniades is divided into 2 urban districts and 4 local communities, these correspond to the rural communities before the territorial reform of 1997.
