Inspection Pomerania City is a television crime series of ARD , which was produced in the 1976th The series deals with the investigation of criminal cases in the Bavarian province. It was broadcast in regional programs.

In the fictional Franconian provincial town of Lauenstadt , the widowed Kriminalamtsrat Zapf heads the police inspection. He solves criminal offenses together with his employees Jung, Kriminalmeister Seidel and Inspector Holzmüller. Most of them are murder cases or supposedly murder cases, but also theft, robbery, extortion and fraud.

The author of the series Theodor Schübel deliberately staged a milieu that, in his opinion, had been neglected up to that point: police work in the provinces. Most of the shooting took place in Hof in Upper Franconia . The broadcast took place in the regional evening programs.
