International puppet theater festival
The International Puppet Theater Festival is a theater festival founded in Erlangen in 1979 .
The event, which is jointly organized by the cities of Nuremberg , Fürth , Erlangen and Schwabach every two years , is considered the most important festival for multi-disciplinary figure , picture and object theater in German-speaking countries and as the central theater festival in Germany.
Over 50 theater groups from all over the world present their current productions in around 100 performances for ten days at more than 20 different venues in the metropolitan area. The framework program includes exhibitions and performances as well as workshops, public lectures, workshop and staging talks and discussions.
