Isleta Village Proper is a census-designated place (CDP) in Bernalillo County , New Mexico in the United States . At the time of the United States 2010 , 491 people lived here. Isleta Village Proper is part of the Albuquerque Metropolitan Statistical Area .

Isleta Village Propers geographic coordinates are 34 ° 54 ' N , 106 ° 42' W (34.907901, −106.693176). According to the United States Census Bureau , the CDP has a total area of 0.7 km 2 , all of which is land.
The village is located in the Albuquerque Basin on the western bank of the Rio Grande . The nearby Isleta Diversion Dam serves to draw water from the river for irrigation.
Demographics
At the time of the United States Census 2000, Isleta Village Proper was inhabited by 496 people. The population density was 709.5 people per km 2 . There were 275 housing units, an average of 397.5 per km 2 . The population in Isleta Village Proper consisted of 0.60% of whites , 0% Black or African American , 97.98% Native American , 0.40% Asian , 0% Pacific Islander , 0.40% said other races to belong and 0.60% named two or more races. 4.23% of the population declared to be Hispanic or Latino of any race.
The residents of Isleta Village Propers distributed over 190 households out of which 31.6% were living in children under 18 years of age. 30.0% of households were married, 26.3% had a female head of household without a husband, and 34.2% were not families. 30.5% of households were made up of individuals and someone lived in 16.3% of all households aged 65 years or older.
