Jürgen-Thomas Ernst

Jürgen-Thomas Ernst (born September 10, 1966 in Lustenau ) is an Austrian writer.

Life

Jürgen-Thomas Ernst grew up in Hohenems and graduated from the HBLA for forestry in 1995 in Bruck an der Mur. Even during his school days he wrote plays that received numerous grants and prizes. Nachtschicht (1994) was premiered at the Theater am Saumarkt in Feldkirch in 1996, Der Wortmörder (1999) and Karoline Redler (after the Nazi murder victim) (2004) were premiered at the Vorarlberger Landestheater . With Anima he published his first novel in 2010. In autumn 2015, his second historical novel, "A hundred years ago and a summer", was published, which had already won several awards before it was published.

Jürgen-Thomas Ernst is the father of two daughters, lives and works mostly in Bregenz .
