Jürgen Jeske

Jürgen Jeske (born April 15, 1935 in Zeitz , actually Johannes Jürgen Jeske ) is a German journalist. From 1986 to 2002 he was co-editor of the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung .

Life

Jeske first completed an apprenticeship in men's tailoring . He then studied in Heidelberg and Berlin economics . In 1960 he graduated from the Free University of Berlin . From 1962 to 2002 he was a member of the business editorial team of the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, and from 1965 to 1986 he was department head for business news, business and corporate reporting.

From 1986 until his retirement in 2002, he was one of five editors of the FAZ. He also held offices afterwards: in 2006, he was appointed a member of the Economic Advisory Board of the Prime Minister of Saxony-Anhalt . From 2008 to 2013 he was President of the Frankfurt Society for Trade, Industry and Science .

He is a member of the Ludwig Erhard Foundation .
