Jürgen Muche (born March 27, 1951 in Berlin ; † November 7, 2019 ) was a German educator and former professional football player .
Jürgen Muche has played for Ludwigshafener SC since he was ten . From 1971 to 1975 he was in the squad of 1. FC Saarbrücken , where he played 65 games in the regional league and 13 games in the 2nd Bundesliga as a goalkeeper . He played for Borussia Neunkirchen from 1975 to 1979 and had ten appearances there in the 2nd Bundesliga. During his amateur days he was also used fourteen times for the amateur national team and won the UEFA Amateur Cup with them on April 28, 1974 in Rijeka (together with Yugoslavia declared the winner) .
After the end of his sports career, he began a professional career as a teacher . After completing his German studies and sports studies, he taught German and sports at the Illtal Gymnasium Illingen from 1978 to 1988 . In 1989 he did his doctorate on lively learning in literature . From 1994 to 1996 he taught at the Ludwigsgymnasium Saarbrücken . He then worked at Saarland University until 1997 . From 1998 to 2005 Jürgen Muche lived in South Africa and taught at the German International School in Cape Town . After returning to Germany in 2006, he taught for six months at the Saarpfalz-Gymnasium in Homburg, until he switched back to the Ludwigsgymnasium.
Jürgen Muche was married to Hiltrud Neuberger , the daughter of Hermann Neuberger . They have a daughter and two sons together.
