Jacques Fouroux (born July 24, 1947 in Auch ; † December 17, 2005 ibid) was a national player, captain and coach of the French national rugby union team . He himself played in the position of the scrum half (No. 9) and was nicknamed "the little corporal".
In total, he was used 27 times in the national team. From the 1980/81 season he was coach of the national team for ten years. Then he was coach of FC Grenoble , which failed with him only in the final of the French championship. There followed a time in Paris in which he wanted to establish a rugby league club and a phase with the Italian first division club L'Aquila.
He died of a heart attack in 2005 at the age of 58 .
