The Jaguar Land Rover Ltd. is a subsidiary of the Indian automobile company Tata Motors with the car brands Jaguar and Land Rover . It was created in 2013 from the takeover of Land Rover Ltd. by Jaguar Cars Ltd. , both of which were acquired by Tata in 2008.

The portfolio of Jaguar Land Rover also includes the now run as an independent brand Land Rover model Range Rover . Production of the Daimler brand, which was also acquired by Tata, was discontinued in 2009. Tata also holds the unused naming rights to Lanchester and Rover , although the MG Rover Group was absorbed into the Chinese Shanghai Automotive Industry .

As of September 10th, Thierry Bollore is the new CEO of Jaguar Land Rover. Bollore was on Renault's board of directors until October 2019.
