Jan Reimer

January Reimer (* 11. March 1953 ) is a German fusion and fingerstyle - guitarist and composer , considered since the mid-1990s astrologer operates.

Life

Reimer started playing the guitar passionately when he was 15. He received lessons from Rick Abao for several years . After graduating from high school, he played guitar in the evening at the political cabaret Die Machtwächter while studying at the Cologne University of Education . After the state examination, he formed the fusion group Head Band with Norbert Stein and Mike Herting , which worked with a changing rhythm group between 1979 and 1982, went on tour in the USA and released three albums. Since 1978 he has also accompanied the songwriter Franz Josef Degenhardt in the studio and on tours.

In 1983 he started a solo career and presented several albums as a soloist. His compositions (eg "Escape from a Fairytale") have also been interpreted by other guitarists such as Alex de Grassi and Ulli Bögershausen . He can also be heard on albums by Steve Tibbetts and Noise Forest . An arm operation meant the end of his music career. Since 1994 he has been active as an astrologer, since 2006 also for the Kölner Stadt-Anzeiger .
