Jana Jürß (* 1970 in Neustrelitz / Mecklenburg ) is a German writer .

Life

Juerß grew up in Neustrelitz , Mecklenburg . At the age of 19 she fled the GDR . For a long time she was professionally oriented in the field of business informatics. She has been working as a freelance writer and publicist since 2005 . Jürß is a member of the PEN Center for German-Speaking Authors Abroad and of the Association of German Writers . Her topics include German history and current affairs. Jürß writes stories, essays and dramas, among other things. She writes thrillers under the pseudonym Linda Roos. In 2016/2017 she was the managing spokesperson for the crime literature company Syndikat .

As an active contemporary witness u. a. Brokered by the Federal Foundation for Coming to terms with the SED dictatorship , it is available to schools and other educational institutions.

Jürß is married, has two children and lives in East Frisia .
