Janez Stirn (born May 16, 1966 in Kranj ) is a former Yugoslav ski jumper .

Forehead began his international career at the Junior World Championship in Trondheim in 1984 . He won the silver medal behind Martin Švagerko on the K80 hill .

On December 30, 1984 he made his debut in the ski jumping World Cup while jumping in Oberstdorf as part of the Four Hills Tournament 1984/85 . He won his first and only World Cup points on January 1, 1987 in Garmisch-Partenkirchen with an 11th place. At the end of the season he finished 63rd in the overall World Cup with five points.

At the Nordic World Ski Championships in 1991 in Val di Fiemme , he jumped to 38th place on the K90 hill.

After further unsuccessful jumps, Stirn ended his active ski jumping career in 1992.
