Jay Ryan
Jay Ryan (* 29. August 1981 in Auckland , New Zealand as Jay Bunyan ) is a New Zealand actor .
life and career
He began his acting career under his birth name Jay Bunyan as Glen in Scallywag Pirates as well as guest roles in The Young Hercules and Xena - The Warrior Princess . He then appeared in a few episodes of The Tribe and Being Eve . He made his breakthrough in Australia with the role of Jack Scully in the soap opera Neighbors , which he held from 2002 to 2005. In 2003 he was Cursed in the Disney Channel Original Movie ! as seeing Charles .
When he auditioned for the role in Los Angeles , he was suggested to change his last name because Bunyan sounds too much like the English word for bale .
From 2007 to 2009 he played Seaman Billy "Spider" Webb in the Australian drama television series Sea Patrol . After leaving the series, he got the lead role of Kevin in the New Zealand series Go Girls , in which he has appeared since 2009. In 2010 he had a guest role in Legend of the Seeker and in 2011 in Terra Nova . In 2010 Ryan also appeared in a supporting role in the television series Offspring .
In March 2012 he received the male lead of Vincent Keller in The-CW - mystery series Beauty and the Beast , which premiered on October 11, 2012.
Private
Jay Ryan and his partner Dianna Fuemana have been the parents of a daughter since March 2013.
