The Jayawijaya Mountains , also known as Jaya Wijaya or Djajawidjajagebirge , are a mountain range in the western half of New Guinea . It is located in the province of Papua in Indonesia . The Jayawijaya Mountains form the eastern part of the Maoke Mountains . The highest mountains in the range are Puncak Trikora ( 4730 m ) and Puncak Mandala ( 4640 m ).
