Jean-Baptiste Le Moyne de Bienville
Jean-Baptiste Le Moyne de Bienville (* baptized February 23, 1680 in Montreal , New France ; † March 7, 1767 ) in Paris - also known as Sieur de Bienville - was a colonist who served several times as governor of the French between 1701 and 1743 Officiated Colony of Louisiana . His older brother was the explorer Pierre Le Moyne d'Iberville (1661–1706).
Le Moyne de Bienville helped found American cities, such as
