Jean-Marc Lelong

Jean-Marc Lelong (born February 1, 1949 in Saint-Pierre-des-Corps , † February 24, 2004 in Tours ) was a French comic artist and scriptwriter .

life and work

In the early 1970s, Jean-Marc Lelong lived in Africa, where he met his wife. Back in France he became a professional draftsman and with the scenario artist Christian Barré he created the series Monsieur Emile for the comic magazine Pilote . In 1981 the magazine Fluide Glacial published the first pages of Carmen Cru , a comic about a somewhat idiosyncratic old lady that Lelong dealt with until his death in 2004. From 1984 the adventures Carmen Crus appeared in album form, in 2001 the seventh. An eighth with episodes from Lelong's estate was published in 2008.

Episodes from Carmen Cru were adapted for the theater by the Compagnie du Préau.
