Jeffrey "Jeff" Lane Hephner (born June 22, 1975 in Michigan ) is an American actor .

life and career

Jeff Hephner grew up in the small town of Sand Creek in the US state of Michigan . He played football and basketball in high school there . He also attended Calvin College in Grant Rapids and Ferris State University in Michigan. He graduated from the latter in 1999.

Hephner's career began with appearances in the films Tigerland and So How Do You Feel About Your Watch . In 2002 he played a small role in Manhattan Love Story before starring in 2004 as Keenan O'Brien in the short-lived Fox series The Jury . After guest roles in Criminal Intent and Criminal Minds , he played Pat Conroy in the 2006 film Weiter Wasser . Furthermore embodied Hephner in the third season of the series The OC to Matt Ramsey . After this role he appeared in various television series until he again took on a leading role in the series Easy Money from 2008 to 2009 . In 2009 he was also a guest for a longer story arc in the series Mercy . He played a supporting role in The CW series Hellcats from 2010 to 2011. His next leading role was that of Ben Zajac in the Boss series broadcast on Starz . However, this was canceled after two seasons, The Jury and Easy Money after one season.

In 2013 and 2014 he played the role of Jeff Clarke in Chicago Fire . Hephner has played the lead role of John Case in Agent X since 2015.
