Jen and Sylvia Soska (born April 29, 1983 in North Vancouver , British Columbia ) are Canadian twin sisters who work together as film directors , film producers , actors and screenwriters .
life and work
The two sisters were born in Canada on April 29, 1983 . The two have been fans of horror literature and films since childhood .
The two are also called "Twisted Twins" (literally: "Tangled Twins"), which also influenced the name of their production company Twisted Twins Productions, which they founded in 2008. They financed their first film Dead Hooker in a Trunk out of their own pocket and took on production, direction, script, camera work and the leading roles. In 2012 they made a highly acclaimed contribution to the subgenre of body horror with American Mary . After two commissioned works for WWE Studios ( See no Evil 2 , Vendetta ) and a contribution to the anthology The ABCs of Death 2 , which is not included in the German version , their next project announced a remake of Rabid - The Roaring Death , an early film by David Cronenberg with the prospect of a connected television series.
In addition, the two appear again and again as actresses ( e.g. Suburban Gothic , Blackburn ) and produce works by other filmmakers ( Puppet Killer ). In 2015, they also took on the role of host in the horror game show Hellevator by Blumhouse Productions .
