Jens Andersen (Author)
Jens Andersen (born November 15, 1955 ) is a Danish journalist , literary critic and writer who received the Georg Brandes Prize in 1990 and the Søren Gyldendal Prize in 2006 .
Life
Andersen, who worked as an editor in the culture department of the daily Berlingske Tidende , made his literary debut in 1990 with Thit - den sidste valkyrie , a biography of the writer Thit Jensen , for which he received the Georg Brandes Prize in 1990.
In addition to other biographies of Danish authors of the 20th century , he also wrote children's books and was awarded the Klods-Hans Prize of the Society for Children's Literature in 1998.
For Andersen - En Biografi , a biography about Hans Christian Andersen , he was awarded the Weekendavisens litteraturpris , the readers' award of the weekly newspaper Weekendavisen, in 2004. In 2006 he was finally awarded the Søren Gyldendal Prize. Most recently, a biography about the children's author Ole Lund Kirkegaard was published in 2010 .
