The Jerusalem Committee ( Arabic لجنة القدس laǧnat al-quds ; engl. al Quds Committee ) or the al-Quds Committee (after the Arabic name for Jerusalem , al-Quds "the saint") of the Arab-Islamic states becameforeign ministerson the recommendation of theSixth Islamic Conference heldin Jedda , Saudi Arabia of the member states of the Organization for Islamic Cooperation (OIC / OCI) founded in June 1975. The 10th Islamic Conference of Foreign Ministers in Fez decided to put the Jerusalem Committee under the chairmanship of King Hassan II of Morocco , after whose death his son, King Mohammed VI. , took over the chairmanship of the committee. Its seat is Rabat , Kingdom of Morocco .

The al-Quds committee is to monitor the location of the holy places and coordinate the activities for the liberation of Jerusalem .

After a twelve-year break, the first committee meeting at foreign minister level took place again in 2014 . The meeting took place in Marrakech , Morocco.

An agency known as the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Asharif Agency was founded in 1998 by the Moroccan King Hassan II as a branch of the Al-Quds Committee. Its general director is Abdelkébir Alaoui M'Daghri .
