Jesper Nøddesbo (2008)

Jesper Brian Nøddesbo (born October 23, 1980 in Herning , Denmark ) is a Danish handball player . He is 1.98 m tall and weighs 92 kg.

Nøddesbo, who plays for Bjerringbro-Silkeborg (shirt number 18) and plays for the Danish national team, is actually always used as a circle runner.

Jesper Nøddesbo started playing handball at Hauge GIF . In 1999 he joined the Tvis Holstebro team before moving on to KIF Kolding in 2004 . Here he won the Danish championship in 2005 and 2006 and the Danish Cup in 2005 and 2007, and in 2006 was the top scorer in the Danish league. In 2007 he moved to FC Barcelona , with whom he won the championship in 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017, the EHF Champions League in 2011 and 2015 and the Copa ASOBAL , Supercopa Asobal and the King's Cup in 2014. He has been under contract with the Danish first division club Bjerringbro-Silkeborg since summer 2017 .

Jesper Nøddesbo has played 223 caps for the Danish national team so far . At the European Championships in Norway in 2008 he was European Champion ; at the 2007 World Cup and the 2006 European Championship , he won bronze with Denmark . In 2013 he won the silver medal at the World Cup . At the 2014 European Championships in his own country, he was runner-up in Europe. He won the gold medal at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro .
