Jesse Weißenfels (born May 26, 1992 in Wesel ) is a German soccer player .

Career

Weißenfels first played in Wesel at SV Ginderich and PSV Wesel-Lackhausen before joining the youth team of Borussia Mönchengladbach at the age of 14 . He stayed in Mönchengladbach for seven years and made five appearances for the second team in the Regionalliga West. In 2013 he moved to SV Sonsbeck in the Oberliga Niederrhein . Due to his success there he drew the attention of FC Schalke 04, among others , who signed him for his second team. In 2015 he moved to Preußen Münster through Sportfreunde Lotte . There he was injured for a long time. In December 2016, his contract with the club was dissolved again. In January 2017 he signed a contract with the regional league team Stuttgarter Kickers . In the summer of 2018 Weißenfels moved to SV Waldhof Mannheim and rose to the 3rd league in April 2019 . Due to an injury, he did not appear there in the 2019/20 season. After his contract at Waldhof was not subsequently extended, SSVg Velbert announced the commitment of Weißenfels on August 28, 2020 .
