Jill Marilynn Watson (born March 29, 1963 in Bloomington , Indiana ) is a former American figure skater who started in pair skating .

First she started pair skating alongside Burt Lancon . With him she finished sixth at the 1984 Olympic Games .

From 1985 Peter Oppegard became her figure skating partner . In 1985, 1987 and 1988 they became US champions . In the period from 1985 to 1988 they took part in world championships . They won their only world championship medal with bronze in 1987 in Cincinnati behind the Soviet couples Yekaterina Gordejewa and Sergei Grinkow as well as Jelena Walowa and Oleg Wassiljew . The same result achieved Oppegard and Watson at the 1988 Olympic Games in Calgary.

Watson now works as a trainer. For five years she trained Rena Inoue and John Baldwin .
