Herbert "Jimmy" Fell (born April 12, 1956 in Niederlauer , Rhön-Grabfeld ) is an artist and engineer .

Life

Fell attended high school in Bad Neustadt an der Saale . After graduating from high school, he studied civil engineering and graphic design at the Würzburg University of Applied Sciences .

He does not exhibit his works of art in museums or galleries . The sculptures and temporary installations are in significant places outdoors. After German reunification , he created the national monument Sculpture Park German Unity . In protest against Bodo Ramelow's candidacy for the office of Prime Minister, he temporarily moved the sculpture Wir sind das Volk from Thuringia to Bavaria in October 2014 .

As a painter , he deals with the symbolism of cultures and religions .

The native of Lower Franconia has lived in Berlin for over 20 years .
