Joachim Metelmann

Joachim Metelmann (born on January 18, 1952 in Kasseedorf ) is a former German soccer goalkeeper .

Metelmann began his sporting career with the company sports association Empor Altentreptow and moved to Hansa Rostock in 1970 . There he played until 1973. During this time he was used once in the top division of the GDR , the Oberliga , namely in the 1972/1973 season . On the 17th matchday of that season, at the away game in Dresden (0: 4), coach Horst Saß substituted for goalkeeper Dieter Schneider in the second half . For the 1973/74 season he moved to ASG Vorwärts Stralsund , rose to the top division and a year later - without use - as bottom of the table straight down again. Metelmann's last change took place in 1976. It took him to the BSG Post Neubrandenburg , where he was active in the GDR league until 1985 .
