Jochen Vogt

Jochen Vogt (born May 27, 1943 ) is a German philologist , literary scholar and literary didactician .

Life

Jochen Vogt received his doctorate in 1968 at the Ruhr University Bochum and has been a professor at the Justus Liebig University in Gießen since 1972 and at the University of Duisburg-Essen in Essen since 1973 .

Vogt mainly deals with German and European literature of the 20th century. He is the author and editor of numerous literary studies (especially in the field of narratology ) and didactic works. Vogt is also known for his rather unusual scientific work on detective novels as a literary genre in literary circles .
