Jodi Mary Albert (born July 22, 1983 in Chingford , London ) is a British actress and singer .

Life

Eileen and George Albert's daughter joined Simon Cowell's girl group Girl Thing in 1999 at the age of 16 . The group had a top ten hit in England with the song Last Ones Standing , but broke up again after a year. She got her first theater experience at the age of ten when she was on stage in the London Palace Theater in the musical Les Misérables . She trained as an actress at the Sylvia Young Theater School in Marylebone , London. She became known through the television series Hollyoaks, for which she was in front of the camera from 2002 to 2004. Other productions followed, mostly television series again. In the meantime Jodi Albert sings in the English / Irish girl band "Wonderland".

Albert has been in a relationship with Kian Egan from the Irish music group Westlife since 2003 . The two got engaged on December 25, 2007 and have been married since May 2009.

Awards

Between 2003 and 2005, Albert was elected to the FHM list of the 100 Sexiest Women , on which she occupied one of the lower places (2003: 93; 2004: 73; 2005: 65). In 2005 she also received the Sexiest Female Award from the British Soap Awards for her role in Hollyoaks .
