Johann Egidius Bach

Johann Egidius Bach (born February 9, 1645 in Erfurt ; buried on November 22, 1716 there ), also Aegidius or Aegydius , was a violist and alto in the town music company in Erfurt from the Bach family .

Life

In addition, he was organist at the Kaufmannskirche and Michaeliskirche; from June 30, 1682 he was director of the council music; since 1694 he had the license to trade in " Nuremberg goods ". He is the father of Johann Bernhard Bach .
