Johann Gottlieb Frenzel
Johann Gottlieb Frenzel (born February 15, 1715 in Schönau auf dem Eigen ; † January 21, 1780 in Budissin ) was a German lawyer , historian and philosopher.
Life
Frenzel attended grammar school in Budissin and then moved to Leipzig University to devote himself to theological studies. On May 13, 1734, he moved to the University of Wittenberg , where he obtained the academic degree of Master of Philosophy on October 17, 1735 . However, he could not get an appointment as a preacher and therefore accompanied a young nobleman to Wittenberg to support him in his studies.
When he died there, he devoted himself to studying law, passed the exam pro Praxi as a notary on July 6, 1753 and in 1754 became a senior lawyer in Budissin. His oeuvre spans a broad spectrum, including theological , legal , historical and philosophical social issues. He has also written many smaller writings and a number of occasional poems are known of him.
