Johanna Antoni

Johanna Eleonore Antoni , b. Klant (born February 23, 1762 in Schweidnitz , Silesia; † 1843 there ) was a German writer .

Life

Antoni grew up as the daughter of poor parents. She attended school from the age of seven to twelve, but was excluded from higher education as a girl and child of needy parents .

She married the royal Prussian excise inspector Antoni († 1806) in Schweidnitz on May 17, 1780 . They lived together in simple circumstances. The acquaintance of a businessman interested in literature led Antoni to write poems himself. A part was published in 1792 under the title Poetic Attempts in Print. She also published under a pseudonym or anonymously in Silesian magazines and also worked as an actress.
