Johannes Theobald

Johannes Theobald (born February 22, 1987 in Stuttgart ) is a German racing driver . He took part in some Formula 2 races in 2010 and 2011 . His older brother Julian Theobald is also a racing driver.

Career

Theobald began his motorsport career in karting in 1996 , where he was active until 2002. In 2003 he moved into the single-seater racing and entered the German king formula to. After finishing twelfth overall in his first year, he became runner-up in 2004. In 2005 he switched to the German Formula 3 Cup . He stayed in this championship for two years. After 17th place in the first season, he finished 13th overall in 2006. In 2006 he was also runner-up in the trophy classification . In 2007 the German was initially without a cockpit. In the further course he returned for two races in the German Formula 3 Cup. He also made his debut in Formula Renault 3.5 at EuroInternational . As a teammate of his brother Julian, he took part in a racing weekend. In the overall ranking he was 37.

Once in any racing series he was more active after 2007, returned Theobald 2010 back into motorsport. After taking part in Formula 2 test drives with his brother in July, he made his Formula 2 debut at the beginning of September after passing university exams. He started on two race weekends and remained without points. In 2011 Johannes Theobald competed in Formula 2 with his brother Julian. Johannes Theobald took part in five of eight events. At the end of the season he finished 21st in the drivers' championship.
