John A. Bolger Jr.

John A. Bolger Jr. ( May 22, 1908 , † August 22, 1990 ) was a sound engineer .

Life

Bolger worked on three feature films in 1955, his debut was the musical With Dynamit and Pious Sayings by Edward Buzzell . In the same year he worked on two films by director Jesse Hibbs , the war film To Hell and Back and the Western With Brute Force .

1976 he worked for Robert Wise's disaster movie The Hindenburg together with Leonard Peterson , John L. Mack and Don Sharpless for the Oscar in the category Best Sound nominated, but the award went this year to Steven Spielberg's horror film Jaws .
