John Bryant Davila (* 24. June 1980 as Juan de la Cruz Bryant Dávila in Brooklyn , New York City New York ) is an American actor with Puerto Rican descent.

Life

Davila was born in Brooklyn, New York and grew up in the Carroll Gardens area. His parents, Cásilda Silvá and Júan De Lá Cruz Dávila are retired US Postal Service employees who met in Ponce , Puerto Rico. He got his middle name from his parents because of Bryant Park , which is in Manhattan . His role model is Eli Wallach .

Before Davila set foot as an actor, he earned his living as a chef in a restaurant. Bryant attended the Lee Strasberg Theater and Film Institute and the Atlantic Theater Company in New York City. In addition to acting for the film, he was featured in the music video of Leona Lewis' single, I Got You . He was also seen in commercials for products from Samsung and The Wrigley Company .

He can be seen as a passenger in the 1995 film Money Train with Wesley Snipes and Woody Harrelson . His role as an extra was not mentioned in the credits. In the drama Dangerous Kids - High School of Hope with Mickey Rourke , he got a role as a student. In the TV series Sex and the City , Davila played the bartender in the episode Games People Play . In the independent film Requiem for a Dream , with Ellen Burstyn , Jared Leto and Jennifer Connelly , he can be seen as a drug dealer. In 2010, he impersonated a doorman in the low-budget horror film Hyenas . In this film, Costas Mandylor and Meshach Taylor each have a leading role and hunt werewolf-like hyenas.

John Bryant Davila lives in Los Angeles and New York.
