John Chase
John Pierce Chase (born June 12, 1906 in Milton , Massachusetts , † April 1, 1994 in Salem , Massachusetts) was an American ice hockey player and coach .
Career
John Chase began his career as a hockey player at Harvard University . In his senior year of college, he was team captain for the Harvard Crimson. After graduating, he played in the amateur field for Boston AA, the Boston University Club and the Burn Hockey Club. From 1941 to 1951 he was the coach of the ice hockey team at Harvard University. In 1973 he was inducted into the United States Hockey Hall of Fame .
International
For the United States , Chase took part in the 1932 Winter Olympics in Lake Placid , where he and his team won the silver medal. He himself was the captain of his team and scored four goals in six games.
